With a strong recent track record as a General Manager, you should have managed a pub delivering a branded food offer with net takings of at least £15k per week, predominantly made from food. You’ll have a proven ability to drive sales in a branded environment and also have achieved Mystery Guest scores of 80%+. You must be able to show a genuine, thorough commercial understanding of what makes a top pub succeed, i.e. food/liquor split, mystery shoppers, and handling supply volumes.

The famous Hungry Horse brand delivers fantastic quality and value to family diners at over 100 locations around the UK. With a strong focus on food (and BIG portions!) this is one of the most demanding and fast-paced destination pub environments in the industry. We’re looking for inspirational managers to lead a 20-strong team to the highest standards of service and build great local pubs.

Pub & Hotel Management Opportunities Nationwide – Inns including Old English, and Wayside Pubs

With a strong recent track record as a General Manager in a managed pub or hotel, you should have a personal licence and have managed a team of at least ten people. Experience of managing a branded operation with a heavy food bias is essential. You must be able to show a genuine, thorough commercial understanding of what makes a top business succeed, i.e. food/liquor split, mystery shoppers, and handling supply volumes.

With over 100 businesses in this area, including the famous Old English Inns, Greene King offers a variety of fine dining experiences, many including accommodation, conference and event facilities. Our inns offer a tremendous variety of quality food, from authentic handmade burgers to top-notch gastropub cuisine. Managers face a compelling challenge to attract local and national clientele so a strong record of managing a Hotel, for sites offering accommodation, or Coaching Inn is required. Experience of conferences and events would also be an advantage, but remember the customer comes first in everything you do, so you can expect the freedom and support to maximise their experiences.
