| THE Greyhound Hotel 2 High Street, Carshalton, Surrey SM5 3PE A traditional, quality local Young’s pub with 22 en-suite bedrooms in East Surrey between Sutton and Wallington. This Hotel is a, “Jewel in the Crown”, of the Young’s estate. In an excellent location overlooking the village pond adjacent to the church the Greyhound is famous for its pub appeal - quality ales and warm hospitality in the unique village - Swan Bar, and large locals bar. The Greyhound has a strong dedicated following of sport watching socialites and is at the heart of the local community as well as a destination for quality dining – with fresh food lovingly prepared by our chefs. Currently trading well @ 30k net per week. The wet and dry sales are 70/30 split and accommodation is running at 7k net weekly.The key to the future success of this excellent business will be the management, (single or couple) they must have a larger than life personality and manage the business from the front. Promotional skills and creativity alongside the key management competencies are also important, strong business acumen, financial controls, high operating standards, and the ability to develop and train a large team of staff to exceed customer expectation.The success and main area of growth will be to maintain the strong quantity and quality of the customer following and further develop the bed room and dining room sales. This business had a refurbishment last year added to its uniqueness and set it beyond the competition in terms of appearance and setting.This is an ideal challenge for someone with multi unit management ability or from a hotel background but still have grass route & local values. Live in management accommodation – is a large 3 bedroom flat with lounge, kitchen and bathroom. Live in staff accommodation comprises of 5 rooms in the Hotel and 5 in the staff cottage.
