our Verve Grill restaurant we serve freshly made quality food in
contemporary surroundings. The teams are passionate about great service
and really take pride in looking after our guests. Personality and a
naturally confident manner in dealing with people, count much more than
actual experience and your role is to supervise these individuals and
teams to give of their very best, every shift. We do need you to have
previous supervisory experience, along with customer focus, common
sense and a love of helping others perform to their maximum potential.

Requirements of the role

Ensure
the smooth running of the restaurant operation for breakfast,
conference lunches and dinner, in line with brand standards and payroll
margins.

Promote product knowledge within the team and maximise all sales opportunities.

Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure an excellent customer experience, with high quality food and service.

Train
and develop team members to ensure high standards of work and to
maximise individuals’ potential. Lead and motivate staff the team by
your own example.

Support the Restaurant Manager in maintaining departmental administration and compliance with mandatory requirements.

40 hours per week, 5 days over 7, includes weekend work

Required skills and abilities

Previous experience of work as a Food & Beverage supervisor, preferably within a branded hotel

Experience of using Micros is desirable

Experience of training and developing people

Excellent communication skills both face to face and on the telephone

Customer focused "no problem" mentality with ability to find solutions to their challenges

Ability to ensure that procedures are followed correctly and that standards are met.

In
