Experienced bar staff @ the Kedleston Country House

Who are we?

Derby’s original craft brewer, with awards across all our beer styles, a family run craft business with over 30 years brewing expertise in producing handcrafted premium real ales. We see a growing pub estate as a crucial part of our growth with three award winning pubs; the Kedleston Country House will be our fourth venue. We are looking for experienced bar staff to open The Kedleston Country House and we would hope to offer progression for the right candidate as we continue to grow.

The role

Are you passionate about great drinks and excellent service? If you are you might be perfect for the Kedleston Country House. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team who will be offering something unique. An extensive wine list of around 70, some of the best bottled beers from around the world, a cocktail list of our own signature cocktails, a great selection of draught beer and of course our very own award winning ales. You would be expected to have good knowledge on all areas of the drinks menu and be confident in talking the customers through the drinks on offer.

As part of the role you will be working closely with our junior bar manager and bar supervisor to form a great front bar team. The role will include table service and preparing the drinks as well as offering a small selection of food in the bar area. The bar will also be preparing the drinks for the people dining in the restaurant.

We are looking for full and part time roles on the bar

Who are we looking for?

A presentable, hard working person, who is an energetic & enthusiastic team player. A people person friendly with good communication skills & a great sense of humour. Someone who enjoys being in a busy environment, working as part of a team, comfortable dealing with customers, of course someone who is passionate about offering excellent customer service to our guests and what they do. Being able to absorb product information is key to this role, so we are looking for someone who can learn information quickly, understand it and then share it with our guests.

We are looking for an experienced bar person but we will certainly give training to help develop the right candidate.

Hours of work

Due to the nature of the business the candidate must be flexible in terms of hours which will include weekend work.

Pay

The role pays at the minimum wage on an hourly rate up to 23 hours per week for part time and around 30-40 for full time

Due to the number of applications we receive we are not always able to contact everyone who applies, so if you have not heard from us two weeks after the closing date I’m afraid you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.
