Guest Relations Assistant/ Receptionist -The Kedleston Country House

Who are we?

A multi award winning family run craft brewer, with over 30 years expertise in venues and brewing, with four individual venues with their own look feel and retail offer. The Kedleston Country House is a boutique hotel, bar, relaxed restaurant and wedding venue.

The Kedleston Country House located on the Kedleston estate in a grand Georgian building designed in a modern country house style, the venue includes a relaxed drinking area, with over 80 wines, craft beers, signature cocktails and extensive spirit selection, a 75 cover restaurant, an Orangery suitable for private hire, weddings or additional restaurant space of 75 covers. In addition there are formal Georgian Gardens capable of housing Marquee Weddings of up to 200 guests. Finally there are five boutique bedrooms, with potential to more in the future.

The role

As guest relations assistant at The Kedleston you will the first point of contact for all our guests and will be responsible for welcoming our dinners and checking in our guests. The role will include taking bookings for the restaurant and bedrooms via the phone and email. Always being on hand to answer the phone to guests in the bedrooms or looking to book in.

You will also be responsible in assisting the General Manager with administration tasks as well as taking and managing enquiries for event bookings, including taking bookings, collecting pre-orders up-selling and liaising with our wedding planner as required. To ensure the venue is always looking its best for guests and to work with the company marketing manager, to help build relationships with local businesses, to help grow the business.

Who are we looking for?

An experienced guest relations assistant, who is enthusiastic and passionate about offering great customer service. A hard working motivated, organised and committed individual, with great attention to detail, good numeracy and language skills, who thrives in a busy environment. Front of house direct guest experience in a similar venue will be looked on favourably.

Hours of work

Due to the nature of the business the candidate must be flexible in terms of hours which will include evening and weekend work.
