We have an excellent General Manager opportunity available at The Station in Uckfield
The Business
The Station sits directly outside the Railway station of Uckfield and at the bottom of the high street in the heart of the local community, Having gone through a significant face lift with the last year the business is looking fantastic and the place to be in Uckfield town right now, the business trades to the local community of all ages and the Station is the place everyone wants to celebrate with their friends and family or just wants to be part of the local activity. The Station has a fantastic garden patio are that thrives in the summer months and the development has supported this with new layouts to kitchen etc to drive speed of service. this is a one bar operation, with pool table and super dining areas as well as a well-used bar area. the menu is mainstream community with great value offers including seniors, kids and meal deals. Being the first pub outside the railway this is the business commuters see first and has become the stopping off place after work.
Average weekly turnover: £10,000
Split Wet/Food: 80/20
Live-In Manager’s Accommodation: Self contained flat with 2 double bedrooms, lounge, bathroom, kitchen all in very good order.
Role & Responsibilities
As a General Manager you will have overall responsibility for all aspects of the successful management of the business. With fantastic people skills, you will have the ability to lead, motivate and develop your team and engage your customers. You will need to be genuinely passionate about hospitality and will be able to provide an upbeat, efficient customer service. The food element of the business is vital and you will have the pride and enthusiasm to deliver a consistently high quality and exceptional standards across your business. With the desire to excel, succeed and win, you will have a proven track-record in driving business to achieve outstanding sales and profit growth.
