We currently have a great opportunity available as a Bartender to join our Bars team.

Food and Beverage is what adds flavour to a stay! Guests love to enjoy their drink whether it is with friends, family, colleagues or just on their own. To deliver a great guest experience a Bar will prepare beverages and or/ serve food in a timely manner, helping guests to have a memorable experiences whenever and wherever they drink.

The role includes but is not limited to:

  • Setting up the bar
  • Cleaning and stock the bar
  • Taking and serving food and drink orders
  • Serving and clearing tables
  • Polishing glassware
  • Ensuring correct levels of glasses and cutlery are available throughout service
  • Being responsible for the cleanliness of all equipment used in the Bars and back of house areas
  • Having complete knowledge of the menus, wines and specialities offered on the day and to be able to advise guests as necessary
  • Dealing with all guest comments or complaints and to pass on any relevant information to the Supervisor or Manager
  • Acting in a polite & courteous manner to all guests in the hotel at all times
  • Adhering to Customer Service essentials
  • Ensuring all credit and financial transactions are handled in a secure manner
  • Ensuring that any wastage is recorded in accordance with hotel procedures
  • Ensuring daily requisitions of all necessary supplies are completed in line with hotel procedures and managing the liquor inventory
  • Working as a team ensuring the bars operate in accordance to brand standards
  • Being compliant with food safety, health and safety and licensing law regulations
  • Upselling drinks
  • Carrying out any other reasonable duties as deemed appropriate

This job requires ability to perform the following:

  • Handling, carrying or lifting items up to 50 pounds / 23 kg (bar ware, crates, boxes, bottles etc.);
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling and lifting

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

Previous hospitality experience desirable
