Bar Manager

Dakota Deluxe Leeds are seeking an outgoing personality and organised individual for the role of Bar Manager.

Currently the city's number 1 hotel on Trip Advisor, we are a luxury city-centre hotel with 84-bedrooms including 6 suites, a destination cocktail Bar and brasserie-style Grill.

We are located between Greek St and Russell St just 5min walk from the train station and central to bus routes.

CONTRACT AND REWARD

The role carries a permanent contract for 45 hours per week, working any 5 days from 7.

The gross annual salary is £25,000 paid on a monthly basis. This role will also receive cash and card tips.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of the role are to have the overarching responsibility of providing leadership and driving all aspects of beverage operation. This includes:

• Be responsible for the commercial running of the Bar operation including managing payroll costs by writing the departmental rota, stock control and purchasing, as well as driving a culture of sales through service.
• Create a varied and exciting beverage offering for our bars and restaurant including an expansive cocktail list. Work closely with our Head Chef on the Bar Tasters Menu.
• Be directly responsible for and provide daily management of the bar tenders, bar floor team, and hosts, ensuring efficiency and the highest standards of service provision at all times.
• Implement training plans and deliver on-the-job training to drive the smoothest, most polished levels of guest service throughout the food and beverage operation.
• Infuse the culture of classic London cocktail bars and timeless wine bars into our style of service and atmosphere.

DESIRABLE QUALITIES

• Sustained and proven experience in a similar quality environment, working in city-based bar or club management for at least 2 years
• Demonstrable skills in sincere hospitality and service provision
• Proven commercial acumen
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, wines, and spirits
• A strong knowledge of lifestyle and luxury hotel standards with evidence of successful implementation of high level service and product standards
• Computer Skills in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and EPOS is essential
• Ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively at all levels
• Relevant English alcohol licensing certifications
