Due to continuing growth and development of Merlin’s attractions and brands on a global scale, we are looking for a Procurement Manager – F&B to join our Group Commercial Team, based at our Merlin Business Support office in Chessington, Surrey.

Reporting into the Group Food and Beverage Director, this role is responsible for the maximisation of attraction EBITDA via best value procurement solutions and delivery of agreed financial targets in line with the procurement strategy and plan. 

Key responsibilities include…

  •  Ensuring consistency of delivery for all Food and Beverage procurement solutions in alignment with the true business requirements.
  • Delivering quality, service and value for money, consistently, to all areas of the business in line with agreed savings targets.
  • Ensuring that risk is minimised by assuring food standard compliance is adhered to. Manage auditing agencies performance to ensure all checks are thorough and in compliance with statutory requirements
  • Managing costs of annual supply increases by analysing market data and forecasting F&B market trends.
  • Consolidating and reducing the supply chain to achieve benefits of scale.
  • Engaging key personnel at attractions to ensure that their business needs from procurement are clearly met. Liaise also with key suppliers and the central F&B team.
  • Supporting the systems team to ensure that all sites have full availability of stock and help to solve any supplier issues.
  • Ensuring all contracts are formally completed in conjunction with Merlin legal advisors.

We are looking for the following skills and experience…

  • CIPS qualified (level 4 minimum/5 desired).
  • Proven experience in the F&B procurement arena at a managerial level.
  • A good understanding of logistics, ensuring consistent delivery of F&B procurement solutions, aligned to business requirements.
  • Proven knowledge of food and beverage industry and food standard compliance regulations.
  • Strong analytic, stock management and forecasting skills.
  • Strong IT skills (Outlook, Databases and Spreadsheets).
