Education or Certification

Good level of English essential in reading and writing

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

Upon receiving weekly BEOs to ensure that all details are read through and queries/questions raised with the banqueting office.

To ensure that all casual staff are booked for each function in accordance with laid down staffing levels.

To liaise with clients on the day of their function with regards to any amendments or extra requirements.

To ensure that all beverage functions are run smoothly and efficiently and to the highest possible profitability.

To liaise closely with the Head Chef with regard to styles of service and catering numbers, before each event.

To ensure that all Banqueting areas comply with the Health and Safety regulations.

To enforce the No Smoking and Fair Treatment policies at all times.

To compile staff rotas in advance and submit to all banqueting associates.

To submit timesheets to Paymaster each week with any overtime requirements being authorised by the Director of Catering prior to the payment.

To ensure the Banqueting Porters are supervised in the set up of the function room to the specifications as laid down by the room plans.

To ensure that casual waitress, waiters, wine waiters and bar staff provide high standard of service, and are briefed before each event.

To report all equipment malfunctions to the Banqueting Office and maintenance on the appropriate docket.

To ensure that the discipline is maintained in the department and to ensure good timekeeping.

To assist the Conference and Banqueting Manager in the training of all Banqueting employees, on an on-going basis, according to the company standards.

To comply with any reasonable request by the clients or management.

Complies with Marriott International Hotels Limited Regional Office policies and procedures

To perform duties as described by Marriott LSOPs.

To enforce the grooming standards set out by the management.

To ensure that all guest response forms are filled as and when required.

To make sure that every guest leaves satisfied.
