Next week (Monday 11th October) we’ll be holding a Recruitment Event at WatchHouse Somerset House, Somerset House East Wing, WC2R 1LA and we’d love to invite you to come. WatchHouse Somerset House is set in the iconic Grade I listed building overlooking the River Thames- a short walk from Waterloo Station and Charing Cross Station, the best entrance to use is the one on the Strand, as you enter the courtyard WatchHouse can be found on your left hand side.

What is a recruitment event?

A recruitment event allows to meet lots of wonderful people who are interested in working at WatchHouse. At the evening we will be recruiting for a variety of roles across the business including Kitchen Roles, Front of House roles, Bar Back and Barista roles and Management roles.

What to expect?

The evening will be broken up into a few different sections, when you arrive you’ll have the opportunity to grab a drink and have a chat with some WatchHouse employees as well as the other people coming to the event.

Then we’ll break off into smaller groups and do a couple of group activities.

Lastly you’ll all get the chance to grab 10 minutes with someone from WatchHouse who will run through a couple of interview questions with you and you’ll also be able to ask anything you want to know specifically about the role you’ve applied for or the roles we have on offer.

Finally! You can expect to hear from us the very next day with the outcome of whether we’ll be offering you a role with us at WatchHouse, your start date and the WatchHouse that you’ll be joining….check out all of our 8 houses on our website here and make a note of which one would work best for you. We are hoping to start people as soon as they are ready to start and we will be running our induction in a few weeks which is the training we do with all new starters at WatchHouse.

I have attached a brief description of all the roles we have available at WatchHouse.

What to wear?

Well this bits up to you, we want you to be yourself and feel comfortable at the event! At WatchHouse we do have a uniform outline for when you start with us and you can also find that in the document attached. I suppose a good guide would be that we always present ourselves smartly but with a casual edge- present your best self, that’s all we ask!

What to bring?

Please bring your CV (and cover letter if you wish to).

We just can’t wait to meet you and give you a little taster of WatchHouse! If you’d like to come please reply to this email and your name will be added to our guestlist- as we are limited to a certain number of people it’s first come first serve so secure your place with us now! Also if you know anyone else who’d love to join you at the event and potentially join WatchHouse too please give them my contact details (jmd@watchhouse.com).

See you there!

Jess and the WatchHouse team!
