Urban Pubs, Bars and Restaurants are currently recruiting for a talented and highly skilled General Manager with personality & charisma for our expanding group. With an eclectic mix of properties and new openings to suit your personality and style, this really is an exciting time to join a people focused and progressive operations led business.
In the heart of Tooting Bec you'll find The Wheatsheaf, a proper local with excellent British pub food and a great range of craft beers. There's regular live sport on the screens plus live music and comedy nights. With three private rooms to host meetings, parties and other events, this is an amazing opportunity for a people and guest focused General Manager to spearhead our community focused hub.
The Role
- As GM you will take full ownership of all aspects of running the venue. You will be given autonomy and run the site as if it were your own business.
- Being business savvy and demonstrating great commercial acumen is a must.
- Your team will look up to you, it's essential to train, nurture and develop your staff to maintain incredibly high standards and customer satisfaction.
- You have impeccable floor, bar and service experience
- You will be given the opportunity to train, personally develop and progress your career as the company continues to grow.
What we looking for:
- "Wear your heart on your sleave", take ownership, be bold and run the business as if it's your own
- Be cool, calm and collected, manage pressure with ease, nothing can phase you
- You're not precious. We leave our egos at the door and help get stuff done
- Must have minimum 2 years' experience as a general manager
- Solid communication and organisational skills, be approachable and engaging
- Superb customer & floor service skills
- Excellent all-round business knowledge from financials to customer satisfaction
- An entrepreneurial flare
- Passionate about people, training, mentoring, growing a team but most importantly, loves to have fun
- Personal License holder beneficial
