Training

Getting Started

There are some essential training courses  that you must complete before embarking on your journey to running a successful pub business with Ei Publican Partnerships. These are:

Personal Licence - Anyone who sells or authorises the sale of alcohol to the public in England or Wales is legally required to hold a Personal Licence. To obtain a Personal Licence, you will need to apply to your local authority. Enterprise doesn't facilitate APLH courses however we are able to recommend a training provider who offers courses regularly around the country.

Pre Entry Awareness Training (PEAT) - PEAT is a BIIAB accredited e-learning package that identifies the main issues which need to be considered and investigated before signing a pub tenancy agreement. PEAT will give you the necessary knowledge to evaluate the agreement which you are seeking to enter as well as advising you of other issues which you may not be aware of.

Building your Business (BYB) - BYB will prepare you for the journey you are about to embark on and covers the essentials of running a successful business. Whether you are new to the pub trade or have run successful pubs before, Building Your Business will help. You will also be given the opportunity to attend the BIIAB Award in Beer and Cellar Quality FREE of charge .
