Head Bartender - Tring, Hertfordshire
Pendley Manor, a unique Hertfordshire hotel, is a Grade II listed property, set in 35 acres of beautiful lawns and wooded parkland close to Tring. We pride ourselves on offering guests the very warmest welcome in comfortable surroundings and highest standards of service.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our 2 Rosette Restaurant and Bar team.
The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, ensuring the highest standards are maintained so that our guests’ expectations are exceeded. Also good communication with other departments throughout the hotel.
We are seeking a candidate with previous experience in a similar establishment and the following skills:
- High level of customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Highly organised, passionate and self-motivated
- Strong attention for detail
- Micros EPOS system knowledge an advantage but not essential
Duties to include:
Make drinks
Making drinks and having an extensive knowledge of drink recipes is vital to this role. To assist in taking orders and serving customers, particularly during busy shifts, and restocking supplies as needed.
Supervise the bar
To oversee the running of the bar, making sure that complaints and disturbances are dealt with in a polite manner. Also make sure the bar is clean and tidy at all times, even during busy periods.
Check inventory
Regular Inventory checks and responsible for ordering stock when it is low and supervising deliveries to make sure everything is delivered and unpacked properly.
Administrative duties
To look after the administrative side of running the bar as well as the customer-focused side, from scheduling shifts and training staff to managing the budget and payroll, which involves some office-based work.
Deal with complaints
Complaints or queries from customers are directed to the head bartender to deal with in a professional manner. They are to deal with disturbances within the bar to ensure that all customers enjoy a peaceful environment, as well as resolving any issues among team members.
