How the Process Works

Complete our online application form.

The application form is completely free to complete and there are no interview costs. Our biggest piece of advice is to really think about the content of your application; we’re looking for you to impress us! Tell us about your hobbies, skills and your experience with kids. Whilst we’re not looking for thousands of words but detail is important, as is a properly written application- check your spelling! We’ll work with you through the program and help you with the application at every stage.

Once your application has been submitted you’ll be contacted by one of the recruitment team for an informal interview. We like to have a few conversations with you (over the phone/Skype); so that we get to know you better! We want to help you impress our camp directors so we’ll normally set you some homework. This could be get some more experience with kids, look into a certification or simply add some more detail into you application.

If you’re accepted onto the program we will set your proof of intent payment. This initial payment goes towards your total program fees. You will then complete the second part of your application and start submitting the documents that are required in order to obtain your J1 visa.

We will re-review your application. Once we think you have presented the best impression of who you are and what you have to offer a camp, you will then pay the remainder of your program fees. These fees can be paid in installments and cover the cost of your J1 sponsorship, your medical insurance cover and 24hr support during the summer.

And start chatting with our directors! We will match you with a camp, you’ll speak with the owners (normally over Skype), and should both parties be happy you will be offered a contract! We run regular online camp fairs into which you will be encouraged to attend and converse with a fantastic variety of camp owners, all with very different staffing needs.

We must stress that we will guide you through every step. Once we have all your supporting paperwork, your embassy appointment will be arranged on your behalf. You get very excited as summer is just around the corner.

All that’s left now is to get excited, pack up your bags and get on that plane to America!
